HI! My name is Maren and I’m the new Treasurer. In this position, I am responsible for budgeting the money our association gets and making sure we don’t spend too much, which is why I also work together with our Head of PR to organize activities.
I’m 20 years old and from Germany (“near” Cologne), but during high school I also spent a year in the US as an exchange student. Currently, I am starting the second year of my bachelor’s in psychology.
In my free time, I like to read, watch too much Netflix, and (sometimes) do sports, which is one of the reasons I reasons I joined Kinran last year. Before coming to Maastricht, I did Taekwondo for about 1,5 years and really enjoyed, so I wanted to continue to do a martial art here and started Karate.
During the last year, I appreciated Kinran’s open community, where everyone is welcome, both during trainings and other activities.
